IntroductiontoWuhanTextileUniversity

Foundedin1958,WuhanTextileUniversityisacomprehensiveuniversitywithmultipledisciplinesincludingscience,engineering,liberalarts,economics,managementandart.ItisoneofthetoptenuniversitiesfamousinFashioninChinaandtheuniversityfor‘EducationandTrainingPlanforExcellentEngineers’oftheMinistryofEducation.

WuhanTextileUniversityislocatedinWuhanCity,HubeiProvince,coveringanareaof135hectares.Thereare21teachingdepartmentsand64undergraduatemajors,including4specialtieswithnationalcharacteristics,8specialtiesof‘EducationandTrainingPlanforExcellentEngineers’oftheMinistryofEducation,7outstandingspecialtiesofHubeiProvince,and13first-leveldisciplinesformaster'sdegree.Theuniversityhasover20,000students,2,000staffandmorethan1,000full-timeteachers,includingover600teacherswithseniortitlesandover500doctors.

WuhanTextileUniversitystrengthensinternationalexchangesandcooperation,activelydevelopseducationforinternationalstudentsandconstantlypromotesitsinternationalizationlevel.SincetheuniversityenrolledUkrainianstudentsinfashionshowin2013,ithastrainedmorethan200internationalstudents.TheuniversityisthetrainingunitoftheChineseGovernmentScholarshipProgramandtheSilkRoadChineseGovernmentScholarshipProgram.Ithasacooperativeprogramatundergraduate-levelwiththeUniversityofManchesterofU.K.,BunkaGakuenUniversityofJapanandajointtrainingprogramofdoctoralstudentswiththeDeakinUniversityofAustralia.Italsohassignedinternationalexchangeandcooperationagreementswithnearly100universitiesinRussia,France,theUnitedStates,AustraliaandJapan.

lPrograms

1.ChineseLanguageProgram

TheChineselanguageprogramisnon-degreeeducation.ItaimsatinternationalstudentswillingtolearnChineselanguageandChineseculture.Itistaughtinsmallclasses(taughtinRussianorEnglish)withlessthan20studentsineachclass.ItofferselementaryChineseclasses,whicharedividedintotwocategories,respectivelylong-termclassandshort-termclass.TheelementaryChineseclassfocusesonthestudyofbasicChineseknowledge,improvestheabilitiesoflistening,speaking,readingandwriting,andhelpsstudentsunderstandChinesecultureandsociety.

2.CulturalExchangeProgram

CulturalExchangeProgramcombineslanguageteachingwithculturalexperience,includingChineselanguagecourses(includinglistening,speaking,readingandwriting),toursandculturalexperience.ThelearnerswillimprovetheirChinesecommunicativecompetenceandacquirerealculturalexperienceintheimmersiveexperienceofChineseculture.ThedurationofCulturalExchangeProgramdoesnotexceedonemonthandindividualregistrationandgroupregistrationarebothaccepted.

Theabovecontentsandfeaturescanbeadjustedappropriately.

lApplicationQualifications

Undertheageof35yearsoldandobtainedjuniormiddleschooldiplomaorabove.Havinggoodmoralityandgoodhealth,andabidebyChineselawsandregulationsanduniversityrulesandregulations.

lApplicationandAdmission

StudentsforChineseLanguageProgram:TheregistrationdeadlineforspringclassisJanuary15,2019andtheregistrationdeadlineforautumnclassisJuly31,2019.TheadmissiontimeforspringclassisinMarchandforautumnclassisinSeptember.ThespecificadmissiontimeshouldrefertotheofferletterofWuhanTextileUniversity.StudentsadmittedshallgotoWuhanTextileUniversityforadmissionandregistrationinstrictaccordancewiththetimestipulatedintheadmissionnotice.

StudentsforCulturalExchangeProgram:60daysinadvanceforacceptanceofapplications

lFees(RMB)

1.ChineseLanguageProgram

FlexiblefeeisappliedtoChineseLanguageProgram.Forthosewhoarerecommendedas‘excellent’students,thefeestandardis8,000RMBperperson(oneacademicyear)and4,000RMBperperson(onesemester).Recommendationlettersshouldbeprovidedbythein-studyschool,graduatedschooloremployer.

2.CulturalExchangeProgram

Whenthenumberoflearnersineachclassreaches15,thefeeshallbechargedaccordingtothestandardinthetableabove.Whenthenumberofpersonsislessthan15,thefeeshallberaisedaccordingly.

lAccommodation

AllstudentsofChineseLanguageProgramandCulturalExchangeProgramwhoarerecommendedas‘excellent’studentswillbewaivedfromaccommodationfees.Recommendationlettersshouldbeprovidedbythein-studyschool,graduatedschooloremployer.

lOtherFees(RMB)

1.Physicalexaminationfee:229yuan,basedontheactualfee

2.Residencepermitapplicationfee:Foroneyearofstudy,thefeeis400yuanperperson,basedontheactualfee.Ifthestudytimeislessthanonesemester,thereisnoneedtopaythisfee.

***prehensiveMedicalInsuranceFee:StudentscomingtoChinamustpurchasethedesignatedmedicalinsuranceaftertheyenterintoChina.Foroneyearofstudy,thefeeis600-800yuanperperson;foronesemesterorless,thefeeis300-400yuanperperson.IfyoudonotbuyMedicalinsurance,youradmissionqualificationwillbecancelled.

4.Textbookfees:basedontheactualchargesaccordingtothecurriculumarrangement
